Hamburg duo Kollektiv Turmstrasse have just released a new remix EP called 'Ordinary'! The EP is over 76 minutes in length and features a whopping ten remixes - four of a song called 'Lapacha' - and six of the title track. It's released on the Musik Gewinnt Freunde label and it's available on both itunes and Beatport (cheaper on itunes).
What's particularly impressive about this EP is that the remixes are all such unique journeys that you'd never know that it was only two different tracks - as it flows like a great melodic ambient techno album should. I've chosen two standouts from it - first up is impeccably produced 'Lake People's Circle Motive Remix' of 'Ordinary' - the fifth track on the EP... Enjoy!
'Alex Q's Wir Geben Nicht Auf Mix' of 'Lapacha' is the opening track on the 'Ordinary' EP. It's accompanied here by a video simply featuring a couple of families having a day out at the beach, but it's shot so beautifully that it's actually quite surreal and it fits the song nicely... Enjoy!
