SummersRadio™ New Music! Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark - 'Metroland'
O.M.D. have just released their new single called 'Metroland' online! Last month we featured the short teaser video for the song 'Decimal' (http://summersradio.blogspot.ca/2013/01/summersradio-music-news-new-music-omd.html) but 'Metroland' will be the first official single - scheduled for March 25th - from their forthcoming new album 'English Electric'.

SummersRadio™ Music News/ New Music! Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark - 'Decimal'
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark have just announced that they're releasing a new album called 'English Electric' on April 8th! 'English Electric' will be the band's twelfth studio album and the follow up to 2010's 'History Of Modern'. The twelve track album will be available on cd, a deluxe cd + dvd, heavyweight vinyl, as a collectors limited tin box set, and of course digitally.
The first official single from 'English Electric' will be 'Metroland' which will be released on March 25th. However the band has released a wee taster in the form of this new video for a short track from the album called 'Decimal'... Enjoy!

SummersRadio™ New Cover! OMD!
SummersRadio™ New Cover! OMD - 'VCR' Somewhat surprisingly The xx cite Orchestral Manoeuvers In The Dark - better known as OMD - as one of their influences. Perhaps in a show of mutual admiration OMD have recently released a cover of The xx's 'VCR'! The synths make it sound like it easily could have sat along side 'Joan Of Arc' on their classic 1981 album 'Architecture & Morality' - Enjoy!
