Producer/ musician extraordinaire Brian Eno and Underworld's frontman Karl Hyde are releasing a new album together called 'Someday World' next month! 'Daddy's Car' follows last month's track 'The Satellites' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H22bwiMtyrs) as the second song that the duo has posted on Soundcloud - 'Daddy's Car' was just posted earlier today.
It's difficult to know what to expect from a collaboration between two musicians with such lengthy and varied careers - ideally I would have hoped for a seriously tripped out ambient/ techno album that rivals each artists own best material.
However, if 'Daddy's Car' is any indication of what to expect then we may have a seventies/ eighties influenced jazzy pop album on it's way. Both Chicago (the horns) and Bowie (the harmonies and spoken bits) come to mind at various points here... Enjoy!
